NEW BALANCE FRESH FOAM X HIERRO V7 REVIEW:
THE HIERRO SAGA LIGHTER THAN EVER.
150€ | 301 G. | 8 MM DROP
Adventure in the wilderness sounds very appealing to many, but nature is not just fresh air and photogenic landscapes. Uneven terrain, debris and moisture strain the footwear in every way and require a specific construction. For those who literally venture on uncharted paths, there is the Fresh Foam X Hierro, which moves our best running shoe technologies to the off-road sector.
The Fresh Foam X evolution, continues in this shoes with regular hexagons switched to irregular asymmetrical shapes that replicate “real” microscopic foam structures. They thus minimize tension points and facilitate the adaptation of the midsole to each irregular tread. An asymmetrical design that improved lightness, cushioning, reactivity and protection.
The Fresh Foam X Hierro v7 features a Vibram® MegaGrip outsole with toe protection, which acts as a protective shell around the well-known Fresh Foam X cushioning for durability and grip. In addition, there is a lightweight, breathable upper.

fresh foam X cushioning. Moreover, a significant weight reduction -38 grams and the redesigned Vibram MegaGrip sole redesigned with new lugs MicroTraction for better traction.
From those early versions that came very close to the long-yearned Leadville to this seventh generation, they continue to look for continuous improvements, and if we pay attention to the colors of this V7 more into the “fashion” looking shoes.
For many, this NB Hierro V7 promises to be the best in the saga, as reliable, breathable and comfortable as the V5 and V7, but lighter and tighter in the technical sections.
Good looks, so we hope to start testing thoroughly as soon as possible this seventh version of the Hierro and check if New Balance has managed to advance further along the path of the Holy Grail of shoes, that with maximum versatility to give confidence in more different and difficult terrains.
