VAL D’ARAN BY UTMB 2022 WORLD SERIES MAJOR
It was one of the first events to join the UTMB® World Series and, with just one edition, it has become the European final of the circuit.

VAL D’ARAN BY UTMB 2022: REGISTRATION
In 2022, any runner will be able to register directly for the Val d’Aran by UTMB races. However, it is important to be aware of the demands of the terrain. Val d’Aran by UTMB® is not an event to get started in trail running races.
Therefore, the organization recommends having a UTMB Index, that is, a performance level, minimum of 400 in the race category (100M, 100k and 50k) that is going to be carried out since it is the value with which the cutting hours are set.
With a UTMB® Index below that figure it is very likely that the runner will not be able to overcome the cut-off barriers by not complying with the established times, so it is advisable not to register either in the VDA, or in the HRC with a UTMB® Index less than 400. Places will be awarded in strict order of registration.
UTMB 2023 POINTS
The finishers of the Val d’Aran by UTMB® races will get Running Stones to enter the draw for the UTMB World Series Finals, that is, the UTMB®, CCC® and OCC races of the UTMB® Mont-Blanc. The Running Stones are cumulative and the more you own, the more likely you are to get a place.
After hosting more than 3,000 runners of 62 different nationalities in 2021, Val d’Aran by UTMB® faces its second edition with the purpose of improving the experience of attendees and consolidating itself as a reference event in the world of trail running.
