The Nike Terra Kiger is, without a doubt, one of the most versatile shoes of the USA brand for our mountain races. He relaunched Nike in mountain races for its versatility: Neither high nor low, nor light nor heavy; medium lugs… It always offers an equlibrio for the vast majority of lands of the popular railrunner.
NIKE TERRA KIGER 8: LAST YEARS EVOLUTION
The Kiger 5 version was an important change, so logically version 6 only applied minor changes. Again in this biennium the same pattern applies.

- Price 140€
- Weight 298gr (H) 249gr (M). Now about 20gr, and provides some more protection. However, the sensation when wearing it, as the priopia Julia points out, is lighter.
- Recommended use: Training by varied terrain at medium rhythms. Better middle-low weight runners. But beware, we already see that there are elites capable of squeezing it in marathon race with stone terrain as well.
- Drop: 4 mm. Of course, you will get more out of it the better technique you have
- Lugs: 4-5 mm.Medium lug prominence that will be worth us for almost everything. Neither the softest to roll firmly, nor the most biting for the barrazo, but always worthy.
- Stak height: 26 mm front – 30mm rear. A shoe that has been gaining cushioning.
- Cushioning: Nike react throughout the plant, with anti-roll plate back and zoom on the forefoot.
- Male and female version, with three colors.
NIKE TERRA KIGER 8: HIGHLIGHTS
Among its usual strengths, the NIKE TERRA KIGER have always stood out for combining comfortable cushioning while we had a floor touch, very adaptable to almost all types of terrain. And they continue with it.
The 2022 version maintains this commitment to expand the cushioning, hopefully it will not be a disappointment for the regulars of the shoe.
The changes are mainly focused on fine-tuning breathability and adjustment in the cover, as well as a somewhat more collected heel with the same objective.
As you can see below, this Nike Terra Kiger 8 arrives with a React foam midsole along the length. It is completed with a Zoom Air unit on the heel. Seeking better protection and durability on technical trails, Nike has maintained the anti-roll plate. It has also kept the cleats on the sole to achieve better grip.
Overall, the set does somewhat better than in 2021. To improve, perhaps, that rubber in wet rock where without a doubt a rubber like Asics, Salomon, La Sportiva, Inov-8, Vibram and several more overcome it easily.

NIKE TERRA KIGER 8: CONCLUSIONS
In short, the Terra Kiger series maintains the advances of 2021 with this version 8 for 2022 and refines some details that suit it. Some gram less, refined fit to the foot, breathe more and better… And that, with an average price for the current market.
