ASICS GEL TRABUCO 10 REVIEW: NEW VERSION OF A CLASSIC TRAINING SHOE. Our TRAIL RUNNING continues with the 2022 novelties and today bring us today the review analysis of these ASICS GEL-TRABUCO 10.
In the past weeks we have presented you many novelties from Salomon, Hoka, Saucony, New Balance and in the last days is the turn of the Japanese brand, Asics. The 10th version of the Trabuco saga comes with 140€ price, 8mm drop and a similar weight as the previous version 304 grams.

The GEL-TRABUCO™ 10 as we know, is a versatile trail shoe that for many years have offered advanced durability for trail runs and long hikes, and it seems that this 10th version continue with this motto.
It´s functional for helping you experience better traction on varying off-road surfaces. The shoe is just the thing for the off-road runner who is looking for excellent cushioning, durability, protection and grip.

ASICS TRABUCO 10: HIGHLIGHTS
We can see in this version a redesigned upper and the usage of the same cushioning from the material of the FLYTEFOAM™ midsole, which is coupled with the GEL™ cushioning technology in the heel area. This model is equipped with a DUOMAX™ support system, which allows a more stable running behavior. Placing the foam on the medial side of the midsole provides a stronger density that prevents the foot from turning too much inwards (overpronation).
The lug pattern of the outsole is made of ASICSGRIP™ rubber, while the tread pattern for uphill and downhill running on the lateral and medial side of the shoe improves traction on slippery terrain.
In addition, a stone protection plate helps to keep the outsole flexible and protect the foot from abrupt terrain or debris.

ASICS TRABUCO 10: CONLUSIONS
This 2022 the Asics Gel Trabuco 10 did not change much. It maintains the price, the same weight of 305 gram and the drop, with those 40 grams that it lost last year, now consolidated.
In the same way, it consolidates the ASICSGRIP™ technology sole, which was also introduced in 2021. The changes are minimal and mainly focused on the upper and the fit-adjustment.
First of all, it continues to bet on being a multipurpose shoe, now open to both the beginner and the average runner. By weights, the middle and high weight runner will do better, of course, because a 305-gram shoe will not be the best companion for featherweights runners who want to fly in a race.
