The trail running community is ready to get back on track. The first window for VDA Trailers race registrations is now open and others will gradually open up over the next few weeks. In summer 2022, Gran Trail Courmayeur and TORX® runners will return to the Val d’Aosta trails with a well-established formula guaranteed to provide a unique and constantly evolving experience that’s not just about sport.

GRAND TRAIL COURMAYEUR-MONT BLANC: THE RACES

GTC100 | 10 July 2022

Distance: 100km
Elevation gain: 7900m
Time limit: 33h

Qualifying race for Tor des Géants® 2023: 100 bibs will be available in 2023 for the finishers of GTC100 2022, who may bypass the draw and register directly for the Tor des Géants® 2023.

GTC55 | 10 July 2022

Distance: 55km
Elevation gain: 3800m
Time limit: 18h

GTC30 | 10 July 2022

Distance: 30km
Elevation gain: 2000m
Time limit: 8h

GRAND TRAIL COURMAYEUR-MONT BLANC: REGISTRATION DATES

The first date to mark on the calendar is the second weekend in July: 8 – 10. The Gran Trail Courmayeur returns for its tenth year with the three now classic distances – the GTC30, the GTC55 and the GTC100. Registrations are now open at 100x100trail.com and will remain open until midnight on 15 June.
Three different routes, three distances calibrated to the capabilities of individual trailers, for a unique race that takes in the astounding vistas around Mont Blanc, starting and finishing in Courmayeur. The Gran Trail Courmayeur is part of the TORX® eXperience, a circuit of races united by the spirit and values of TORX®. If you can finish a TORX® eXperience race, you qualify to try for the TOR330 – Tor des Géants®. TORX® awards 100 PAXs (TOR330 race numbers) to GTC100 finishers regardless oftheir position in the rankings, which entitles them to register for the 2023 race without going through the draw. TORX 2022: REGISTRATION DATES

Preparations are also in place for selecting the 2000-plus runners who will take part in the four TORX races: TOR330 – Tor des Géants®, TOR450 – Tor des Glaciers, TOR130 – Tot Dret and TOR30 – Passage au Malatrà; the whole world will be watching this event on the Val d’Aosta ‘Alte Vie’ trails between 9 and 18 September.

  • From 10 to 24 Jannuary: registrations open for runners registered at TORX®2020, finisher TOR130 and GTC100 2021.
    The priority registration period 10 – 24 January is reserved for runners who registered for TORX® 2020 but didn’t take up their places last year, and in terms of the TOR330 – Tor des Géants®, holders of a PAX, i.e. any runner who finished a TORX® eXperience race in 2021 (GTC100 or TOR130).
  • From 1st to 14 February: pre registrations TOR330 – Tor des Géants®. New aspiring giants will have to wait until 1 February to pre-register for the TOR330 – Tor des Géants® – registrations close at midnight on 14 February. The lucky entrants will be drawn by the end of the month, and will then have time between 1 and 31 March to complete their registrations.
  • From 1st to 31 March: registrations for all races TOR450 – Tor des Glaciers, TOR330 – Tor des Géants®, TOR130 – Tot Dret, TOR30 – Passage au Malatrà. Registrations for the remaining races will also be accepted in this time window, i.e. 1 – 31 March or subject to availability of places (200 for TOR450 – Tor des Glaciers, 500 for TOR130 – Tot Dret and TOR30 – Passage au Malatrà).
