SAUCONY PEREGRINE 12: THE FASTEST BIRD IS BACK. Our TRAIL RUNNING SHOES section continue with the 2022 novelties and today is the time of this Saucony Peregrine 12.
A model Named for the fastest bird on Earth, the 12th version of the Peregrine saga comes with a price in USA of 130$, normally it will be translated in Europe for 130€, a weight 275 g, which is 35 g less than the previous version Saucony Peregrine 11, a drop of 4 mm and 5mm lugs. Named for the fastest bird on Earth, the Peregrine Falcon which can reach 390km/h speed, this new Peregrine version will not make us go so fast, but based on its numbers it will definitively be an asset for our trail runs.
The new version, recently launched in the USA, became a lighweight shoe, 275 grams, that will make us run quick and agile with every stride under the responsive PWRRUN midsole. Lighter, more comfortable, and faster than ever, the Saucony Peregrine 12 is a workhorse with wings!

UPPER
Stripped back, bootie style upper cradles your foot comfortably at high speeds. PWRRUN+ sockliner provides a plush step-in feel. Toe protect in the forefoot defends against debris. Internal heel counter adds stability.
MIDSOLE
Full-length PWRRUN foam provides the responsiveness to keep you quick and agile on the trail. Rock plate ensures protection for pushing uphill and driving downhill with confidence.
SOLE
5mm PWRTRAC rubber lugs conform to dig into different terrain, providing trustworthy traction and versatile grip for any off-road surface.
SAUCONY PEREGRINE 12: CONCLUSIONS
The first thing we would like to highlight in here is the big reduction of weight, from 310 grams on the Peregrine 11 to 275 grams in this new Peregrine 12. Which shows something, for many obvious, but which is a trend in almost all running/trailrunning shoes at the moment: get a shoe below 300 grams, balanced, stable and with a decent/good durability.
Well, based on thenumbers and what we have seen so far, this Peregrine 12 will fullfil the requirements of any trail runners who wants a shoe with long-lasting cushion, sticky traction and maximum protection for their trail runs. Moreover, will also be good for these who prefer wearing a low drop shoe during their training sessions.
