ANDORRA SKIMO 2022 (19-20FEB): REGISTRATIONS OPEN TODAY. Ski crossing stages between shelters. Our SKI section brings us today the ANDORRA SKIMO 2022 registration opening for the iconic Pyrenees Skimo race. The test will take place in the valleys of the principality on the weekend of February 19 and 20, 2022. Pre-registrations for La Skimo Andorra will be open between 9 and 16 December 2021.

As on previous occasions, the organizers of the event make available to the participants the possibility of hiring, along with registration, hotel accommodation, transport and pick-up at the departure and arrival points, massage service and training.
This last service will be offered the previous weeks telematically by coach Eduard Barceló, who assured that the training will be designed both for people who live in the mountains and for people who train in flat areas.
This previous preparation will allow you to face the competition with the security of being prepared or prepared, “in order to enjoy the route much more without having to suffer too much”, in the words of Barceló. The organizers offer the possibility of contracting all the above services in a single pack, called GOLD registration, reserved for the first 50 teams.

SKIMO2 (14km +1050m)
Only open for U-14, U-16 and U-18 categories, with 14 kms.
SKIMO4 (40km +3000m)
In the Skimo4, the goal is to mountain skiing and join the two valleys as well as the 2 resorts, Grau Roig Ski Resort and Ordino Arcalis Station, crossing the 4 Refuges. It will be held on Sunday 21st, with 40 kms and 3000 meters of accumulated elevation.
SKIMO6 (30km +2000m)
With the aim of uniting with mountain skiing the two ski resorts: Naturlandia and Grau Roig Ski Resort, crossing through the 6 shelters. It will be held on Saturday, February 20th on 30 kilometers and a cumulative altitude of 2000 meters.
SKIMO10 (70km +5000)
It is the queen race of the weekend, by teams of 2 or 3 people, going around with mountain skiing uniting the two valleys as well as the 3 ski resorts: Naturlandia, Grau Roig Ski Resort and Ordino Arcalis Station, crossing through the 10 shelters. With a total of 70 km. and 5000 meters of accumulated elevation and divided into 2 stages: the first stage will be held on Saturday, February 20 on 30 kilometers and the second on Sunday, February 21, on 40 kms.
ANDORRA SKIMO 2022: SAFETY
Without neglecting the fact that we are still in a context of pandemic, the organizers have prepared a health protocol to ensure that the race is held safely and responsibly: all participants must present a COVID-19 certificate Thus it is accredited that either he is vaccinated, or has passed the disease during the last six months, or a diagnostic test has been carried out during the 72 hours prior to the race. Without this certificate you will not be able to participate in the event, which will also comply with the regulations set by current Andorran legislation. PRIZES To promote competitiveness, those responsible for the race will give gold, silver and bronze medals to the finishers of the different races based on their time.
