UTMB WORLD SERIES 2023: 34 RACES CALENDAR. Our 2023 TRAIL RUNNING CALENDAR travels to Chamonix today to review how it will be the second year of the joint closed circuit between Ironman and UTMB Group. And it is that, from this UTMB Chamonix 2023, only the “running stones” achieved in UTMB races will allow you to enter in a draw to run around the Mont Blanc.
UTMB World Series has confirmed that two iconic events from the USA will be added to the circuit in 2023, completing an official calendar of 34 events. They will be the Desert RATS Trail Running Festival by UTMB in Colorado (APR 14-16) and the Grindstone Trail Running Festival by UTMB in Virginia, (Sep 22-24). UTMB WORLD SERIES 2023: 34 RACES CALENDAR
The organizers of the UTMB World Series 2023 have confirmed today that two events from the USA will be added to the circuit in 2023, completing an official calendar of 34 events.
The last two novelties are the Desert RATS Trail Running Festival by UTMB in Colorado, from April 14 to 16, 2023, as well as the Grindstone Trail Running Festival by UTMB in Virginia, from September 22 to 24, 2023.
2022 UTMB World Series: A Groundbreaking First Year After hosting 25 events this year, the inaugural edition of the inaugural UTMB World Series concluded last weekend with the Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko by UTMB in Australia.
In total, 56,097 athletes ran the trails around the world at UTMB World Series events in, with 103,315 Running Stones awarded for their efforts to reach the UTMB World Series Finals at UTMB Mont-Blanc, the home of trail running.
UMTB WORLD SERIES 2023
In 2023, the UTMB World Series is going to be even bigger, welcoming more riders from all over the world to join the UTMB adventure. New events have already been confirmed in the US, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia, as the Series continues its promise to share the best racing experience with as many riders as possible, offering unique events in extraordinary destinations.
Runners who wish to compete in UTMB Chamonix in the future must consult the complete calendar of events and choose where they will add their “running stones” which are from this 2023 the ONLY way to enter the draw, as we explain below.

UTMB 2023 REGISTRATION OPEN UNTIL DECEMBER 31st.
As we pointed out from the beginning, pre-registrations have actually been open since last JUN 14 and will continue to be so until DEC 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. in your MyUTMB account.

Requirements to participate in the draw To participate in the UTMB Mont-Blanc 2023 draw, runners must meet 2 criteria:
- Have at least 1 Running Stone, obtained by finishing a race on the UTMB World Series circuit
- Have a valid UTMB Index

UTMB 2023: DRAW RESULTS JAN 10, 2023
The results of the UTMB, CCC and OCC draw will be announced on January 10, 2023. Riders will then have until January 20 to confirm and finalize their registration. Discover here the details of the registration conditions for 2023.
UTMB 2023, ELITES: HOW TO REGISTER
As for the elites, the places available for the UTMB World Series Finals are now strictly reserved for those who qualify by participating in a UTMB World Series Event or a Major UTMB World Series event in the 15 months preceding the finals.

UTMB 2023: REGISTRATION CALENDAR.
The key registration dates for the PTL, TDS, MCC, ETC and YCC are as follows:
PTL: Pre-registration for teams wishing to participate in the PTL will open on January 3rd
TDS, MCC, ETC YCC: Registration for the TDS, MCC, ETC and YCC will open on January 3 for priority runners and then on January 10th for the rest of the public, on a first-come, first-served basis.
