The entire Black Diamond Rythm range was introduced with a presentation video bythe Black Diamond athlete Joe Grant, betting on it to run even hundred miles, well… Who can resist starting with him? Hit play and then we continue.

BLACK DIAMOND RYTHM TEE:
MOUNTAIN CLOTHING FROM MERINO AND NYLON.

The Rythm range was designed and launched on the market three years ago, in 2019, to offer a further step within the Black Diamond philosophy for trail running. They were looking for clothing that gives us total freedom of movement and that can be worn in almost all types of climates, given the enormous variety of weather in the mountains.

Thus, the first thing that caught my attention when starting the tests was the lightness, smoothness and good feeling in different weather conditions. The explanation is in its technical data sheet about how it is made and the materials, so let’s go with it first.

BLACK DIAMOND RYTHM TEE: FROM THE PYRENEES TO THE ALPS

In almost a year taking it already, I have been able to walk, pedal, ski and run with it through the Guadarrama, Pyrenees … and even climb together to the Swiss Alps, in the follow-ups practiced with the races of Zinal and Zermatt this summer.

Overall I have been well at ease with it, a perfect choice when we go at medium-low rhythms, such as a walk, a classic mountain peak or even an ultra trail, where in the end we move halfway 4-5kmh in the popular peloton. To go more than 10km/h or 135 beats, yes, I still prefer polypropylene shirts.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT?

Built for ultimate freedom and mobility, the Rhythm tee features NuYarn merino wool technology—making it significantly lighter than any other wool shirt on the market, while increasing performance at the same time. The Rhythm’s NuYarn fabric dries five times faster than standard merino, while providing 35% more stretch. This means the Rhythm Tee is the ultimate high output, breathable layer or trail running shirt.

In my experience, this means that the Rhythm Tee has been until today perhaps the best shirt with merino wool in terms of perspiring for high resistance activities such as trail running. Ah! Another thing I like is the quick drying, of course, both when stopping in the bush in the sun and when taking it out of the washing machine.

BLACK DIAMOND RYTHM TEE: CONCLUSION.

Anyway, if it helps you now I have two shirts of these, to be able to use them as a remove / put when I make outings of several days: They weigh little, occupy nothing and take like any wool garment to catch odors.

Details all that suit me, wow. The same for a Transpirenacia walking than a Camino de Santiago on pedals, that the Canfranc Canfranc that awaits us this weekend.
