ASICS GEL KAYANO 29: A STABLE RUNNING EXPERIENCE. Our RUNNING SHOES section brings us the launch of the new version of the Asics Gel Kayano.

The renewed shoes, another icon of the Japanese brand, will be soon released in the US market with aprice of 160$, a weight of 299 g for men and 299 g. maintaining a drop of 10 mm.

In the past weeks and months, we have been presenting you some novelties of the Japanese brand in this 2022.

Today is the turn of this GEL-KAYANO® 29, which was created to give us a stable running experience and a more responsive feel underfoot.

Featuring a low-profile external heel counter, this piece comfortably cradles your foot with advanced rearfoot support.

The midsoleIt has also been updated with the FF BLAST™ PLUS cushioning. This helps keep the shoe lightweight while creating a more energized rebound in each step.

A LITETRUSS™ stability feature is placed on the midsole’s inside angle. It’s designed to help keep your foot from rolling too far inward during your stride.

UPPER

The engineered knit upper has been redesigned to improve breathability, and at least 50% of the shoe’s main upper material is made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions.

The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology.

MIDSOLE

Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL® Technology Cushioning System which attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.

FF BLAST™ PLUS cushioning which is very light but at the same time helps on the impact absorption and offers a responsive rebound.

LITETRUSS™ technology: Improves medial support and midfoot integrity.

OUTSOLE

The AHARPLUS™ heel plug Improves the outsole durability.

From the numbers we can see how the Japanese brand has also decreased the weight of the shoes as a priority in this 2022, making this 29th version of another iconic shoe 11 g lighter that its predecesor.

Moreover, the usage of the new FF Blast + techniology promises a more reactive midsole which promises to help us in our long training days.
