ULTRA PIRINEU 2022: REGISTRATIONS OPEN 12 JANUARY. ULTRA PIRINEU 2022 The four mountain races of the Cadí open registrations 13ENE. Our mountain RACES CALENDAR 2022 section confirms the details of how and when the mountain races will return to Bagá, to be held between 30SEP and 2OCT next year.

The Salomon Ultra Pirineu 2022 will open registrations of successive forms: ULTRA PIRINEU 100K – 12 January; MARATÓ PIRINEU – 13 January; MITJA PIRINEU 21K – 14 January; NIT PIRINEU KV – 14 January.

ULTRA PIRINEU 2022: REGISTRATIONS OPEN 12 JANUARY.

In the successful 2021 edition, we experienced the victories of Kilian Jornet, for the third time in its history, and Azara García, who won here for the first time. It was a magnificent edition in sports, both for the level of the elite and for the return en masse and with great enthusiasm of the popular peloton.

For 2022, the list of mountain races that make up the test is consolidated, as well as the changes applied in the layouts for several of them. Let’s go with the details of each one:

ULTRA PIRINEU 100K | 6.600M+

The ULTRA PIRINEU 100k is the queen test, which gives its name to the event of the SALOMON ULTRA PIRINEU. With start and finish in Bagà (Barcelona), it will be held on October 1 and 2, 2022.

The powerful promotional investment of Salomon, creator of the event and now a full sponsor, has made it over time one of the most media and international races in the country, bringing together participants from more than 50 countries every year.

MARATÓ PIRINEU 42K | 2800M+

The race will depart from Bagà on October 1, 2022. Ahead, 42km and 2,800m of elevation gained. A racethat runs through some of the most iconic places of the Cadí Moixeró Natural Park such as the Niu de l’Àliga, Penyes Altes or Empedrats.

MITJA PIRINEU 21K

After the success of the new route premiered in 2021, the Salomon Mitja Pirineu 2022, will maintain the departure and arrival in Bagà on Sunday, October 2.

As for the route, the section between km 2 and 3 is modified to improve the fluidity, but it will maintain its 21k/1400 with spectacular panoramic views of the Sierra de Ensija, the Comabona and the Pedraforca!

KILOMETRO VERTICAL MOLINA NIT PIRINEU

As every year, 30th September at 19.30 in the telecabina de la Molina the fronts of the runners will be lit, starting a weekend of many emotions. The MNP KV® is a vertical night race of 860 meters of positive slope that runs 5 km between the ski resort of La Molina (gondola lift area) and the refuge of the “Niu de l’Àliga” (2520m).
