SALOMON HIKING 2022: NEW HIKING FOOTWEAR, APPAREL AND GEAR. Our HIKING section, bring us today the hiking footwear, apparel and gear for those who move with pace in the mountains and those looking for a more casual escape to the outdoors.  Last weeks we have presented you here the  2022 Salomon asphalt shoes, the Salomon Trail Running 2022 and the top range S/LAB collection 2022

This new hiking collection comes with 3 new shoes: the Outpulse GORE-TEX  which incorporates the same Energy Blade technology now being used in Salomon running shoes, the X Raise 2 GORE-TEX, the X Reveal 2 GORE-TEX. Moreover it extends the hiking range with backpacks, belt, jackets and much more.

The beauty of a hike is that there are no time limits, and the starting line and the destination are yours to determine. For some, that means rising early, setting a speedy pace in the most innovative gear they can find, racing past every group on the trail, bagging a peak and returning home in time for a brunch of energy bars and protein shakes.

On the other hand, for a growing number of hikers—especially young people who are new to the outdoors and living in urban areas—a hike is a simple pleasure that offers a chance to reconnect with nature and friends. They care less about going to the summit and more about trying new activities with stylish outdoor gear that they can also wear to the gym or for a walk in the park on a rainy day.

For spring/summer 2022, Salomon’s outdoor range features footwear, apparel and gear for both parties—ultra-progressive, high-speed outdoor lovers and newcomers seeking a relaxing day away from the city.

SALOMON HIKING 2022: SHOES

SALOMON OUTPULSE GORE-TEX

The star of the range is a fully charged hiking shoe to propel you forward on your outdoor exploits. The all-new Outpulse GORE-TEX shoe is as adaptable and versatile as it is dependable. Protective and grippy, the Outpulse incorporates the same Energy Blade technology now being used in Salomon running shoes. It also relies on Salomon’s Fuze Surge foam to create a midsole with premium energy return and cushioning, all thanks to years of trail running expertise.

The shoe is designed with reverse camber technology to deliver a smooth ride with a natural and fluid stride. The GORE-TEX membrane offers superior shelter from the elements, a Contagrip® rubber outsole grabs hold of the ground in unpredictable conditions and a full rubber toe cap delivers the protection you need. The Outpulse GORE-TEX is available in a low and mid version, as well as a non-GORE-TEX version.

SALOMON X RAISE 2 GORE-TEX

The X Raise 2 GORE-TEX uses the same recipe as previous seasons, but with improved ingredients. An ADV-C Chassis™ and tripod design raise the shoe’s stability and improve its connection with the ground, while a softer midsole provides instant, lasting comfort. Approved by hikers on the original shoe, the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, Contagrip® outsole and Quicklace™ equip you for varied terrain.

A comfortable overall fit and the maxi-foam collar and tongue offer extra cushiness, while the Fuze Surge midsole helps absorb every shock. For this season, Salomon designers increased the protection with a new reinforced toe cap, heel cap, lateral mudguard and GORE-TEX membrane—and did all without weighing you down.

Also available in a non-GORE-TEX model.

SALOMON X REVEAL 2 GORE-TEX

The X Reveal 2 GORE-TEX takes the comfort of the original model and adds extra bounce with a new midsole. The lightweight includes outdoor essentials like a grippy Contagrip® outsole, reinforced toecap and waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, and a new midsole and tripod design keep you stable and better connected to the ground.

A comfortable overall fit combines is aided by a maxi-foam collar and tongue for extra cushiness and a new bouncy Fuze Surge midsole. Also available in a non-GORE-TEX model.

SALOMON HIKING 2022: PACKS

SALOMON TRACE 35

With a comfy hip belt, tough fabrics that are ready for the elements, and a roll-top closure with multiple compartments and gear attachments, the lightweight Trace 35 hiking pack is the stable, fully featured overnight pack. The new seamless SensiFit™ hip-belt system offers a snug, stable fit with easy-access pockets.

The roll-top design offers expandable storage with multiple stash points, compression straps and pockets including a pole/ice axe holder. The Trace 35 features 1 belt zipped pocket, 1 main compartment, 1 front zipped pocket with external lateral opening, 1 external top pocket for small items (including key holder), 2 side stretch pockets, 1 belt stretch pocket, 1 soft flask front pocket, fast access to a side stretch pocket, and external bladder compartment and 1 harness zipped pocket.

The Trace also comes in smaller Trace 15 and Trace 25 versions, as well as a larger Trace 45.

SALOMON OUTLIFE 30

Drawing on our trail-running expertise and inspired by its Outlife duffel bag, Salomon created the Outlife 30, a robust yet versatile pack that adapts to life on the move and new destinations. Combining a comfy harness with multiple pockets, compartments and carrying solutions, it’s a versatile PFC-free pack made for travel and adventures.

The Outlife 30 is designed with durable fabrics that are great at resisting abrasion and (mis)handling, and the DWR coating keeps water away. The ultra-comfy harness features a pocket for a flask and a zip pocket for valuables so you can keep things close at hand.

With a variety of zip openings, compartments, pockets and carrying options, you choose how to use your pack and organize your belongings. The bag includes 1 key holder, 1 top external zipped pocket, 1 zipped mobile front pocket, 1 main compartment with full zipped opening, 1 soft flask front pocket, 1 expandable side mesh pocket, 1 internal mesh zipped pocket, and internal laptop/ tablet compartments.

The belt is PFC-free and made from comfy, breathable fabrics including fast-drying spacer mesh and a padded back panel. SALOMON OUTLINE GORE-TEX 2.5L JACKET

Protective, lightweight and breathable, the regular-fitting Outline GORE-TEX 2.5L Jacket for men and women is a must-have for all your outdoor activities. The outer layer of the GORE-TEX Paclite® is made from 100 percent recycled polyester with a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment to reduce its environmental impact.

Lightweight with sewn & taped seams, GORE-TEX Paclite® provides high levels of breathable waterproof protection without weighing you down. It’s also extremely durable in due to the 2.5-layer fabric that provides lasting lightweight protection with a lower environmental impact.

An adjustable hood and hem, glued visor, 2 large secure hand pockets, and elasticated cuffs mean you will be ready for any conditions.

SALOMON WAYFARER PANT

Salomon’s Wayfarer pant has long been loved by outdoor adventurers across the world for its soft yet durable technical fabric, its overall versatility and its multitude of features. In a new twist for spring/summer ’22, Salomon’s most popular pant is made from recycled fabric. The company’s apparel designers added recycled Polyamide and a PFC-free water repellent finish to reduce the environmental impact.

Not to worry, however; the Wayfarer still has all the features you’ve always loved. The lightweight four-way stretch fabric and active fit mean it’s easy to move, however steep the slope or fast your pace. The functionality and versatility remain as well, with a semi-elasticated waist, belt loops, adjustable leg bottoms and well-designed pockets including a zipped one on the leg.

Finally, that new fabric–recycled Polyamide with a PFC-free water-repellent treatment—is extremely durable and also has a lower environmental footprint.
