This new shoe is the evolution of the previous ASICS Fuji Trabuco Lyte, thus expanding the catalogue of mountain shoes, being a very good option for those runners who are looking for a multipurpose shoe and at a fairly reasonable price. We analyze the new FUJI Lite 2 ASICS.
ASICS FUJI LITE 2: ANALYSIS AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS BY SABUGO
This new shoe is the evolution of the previous ASICS Fuji Trabuco Lyte, and the first thing that catches my attention is the name: in this new installment it abandons the prefix of the Trabuco family, and changes its nomenclature from Lyte to Lite, a term widely used in the Japanese brand, either in the sneakers asics Lyte classic, or as a surname in some reference series such as the Kayano lite.
Whatever this name, in my opinion, this model has many good things to succeed in the world of trail, and perhaps, one day to be able to see the twentieth deliveries as in the case of reference models in the Japanese brand such as Cumulus, Kayano or Nimbus.

ASICS FUJI LITE 2

Available now in stores this new model of mountain shoe of the Japanese brand, two colors for men with sizes of 39-51.5, a color for women in sizes of 35.5-44.5. It has an aesthetic very similar to its predecessor, but once we approach it and see it in detail many changes are appreciated.
It should be noted that the Japanese house has used almost entirely recycled materials for the manufacture of this model, positioning itself in the market of sustainable brands that collaborate in the elimination of waste from the planet and the reduction of the carbon footprint of the textile industry.
Neutral, agile and fast tread shoe for middle distance runners or even strong and technical runners who can face long distance with them.
Its 4mm drop is quite twin-friendly, as the perception is more of a drop 6 or 8. Its cushioning is soft, reactive and dynamic providing a very good feeling in the race.

ASICS FUJI LITE 2: UPPER
At first glance and if one does not look it has a certain resemblance to its predecessors, logically not. Now, when you approach and look in detail you discover that the roof has been completely remodeled. It has a one-piece cover, multiporous and of apparent resistance (and I only say apparent until you do not put them to the test in the worst situations) with a marked improvement in breathability, especially during the hottest months of the year.
The heel has a small semi-rigid piece that will provide us with greater support when fixing the foot, while the entire neck of the shoe that surrounds the ankle has a small interior padding that accommodates and fixes the foot, with a classic and comfortable cut free of chafing. In its back, and externally it has the classic handle to wear, which seems to have fallen into disuse lately.
ASICS FUJI LITE 2: MIDSOLE
The Flytefoam of the midsole, was already present in the previous model, but it is appreciable, the new forms of this. In the previous model its distribution was more uniform maintaining the same drawing from front to back. In this new model you can see two different areas, on the one hand the heel area, with a more rigid shape, to absorb the possible impacts of the heel reducing the negative phase of the race, and in the part of half foot and front the finish has a Linear shape that leads the pressure of the tread to the outside, seeking to minimize the impact, making the shoe more dynamic.
ASICS FUJI LITE 2: SOLE
The ASICS FUJI LITE 2 incorporates a sole of the Japanese brand, the Asicsgrip ™, a sole that is surprising us very pleasantly since we tested it in the first models and that stands out for its good behavior and a great grip in different types of terrain.
Like its predecessors in the range, it is estimated to be highly durable thanks to high-density rubber. This sole model has been redesigned, with a distribution similar to its predecessor but with a change in the shape of the studs, being now two symmetrical lines in the form of a spike with central emptying, replacing the previous triangulated shape.
The distribution of the cleats is the classic (eye, with nuances, look closely), forward in a sense to traccinar in the direction of race and in ascents, and against position in the heel to favor the grip in descent. Striking its outer part of cleats in the opposite position, which is difficult to see if one does not look, to favor and maximize the grip in counterlateral supports.
ASICS FUJI LITE 2: FIRST IMPRESSIONS BY SABUGO
After about 50 kilometers, the sensations are very good. Comfortable shoe, both for its interior finishes and for the sensations of the foot, both in cushioning and traction.
The Flytefoam cushioning is reactive and dynamic reminding me of sensations similar to the FuelCell of New Balance that I always say would be an ideal midsole in the mountains (I no longer need it, here is what I was asking for).
On the other hand the AsicsGrip sole is behaving very well, and it is not surprising since he had spoken with Mayayo about them and the references were very good. It is necessary to try them in the wet and take them to the limit, although for my taste, the prominence of 3 mm of the taco, in mud areas may fall short.
I find it an ideal shoe for medium distance races, and even marathon if you are a light, agile and fast runner. Its cushioning invites you to run and its drop 4 is quite bearable even if you are not a technical runner.
