Our MOUNTAIN BIKE section continues to grow and brings us today the review of a MTB backpack with back protector made by the German brand VAUDE, which continues to gain fans for its excellent combination of lightness and excellent weight-protection-price ratio.

Its price is today is 190 € in the offical VAUDE shop. With 1490 g including the back protector, compatibility with a 2-3 liter bladder, safety light holder or details like the glasses holder in the front. The Vaude Moab range from VAUDE is the MTB dedicated equipment from the German brand. AS you might remenber, we introduced you a couple of weeks ago the VAUDE Moab II Wind Jacket Ultralight and today is the turn of the VAUDE Moab Pro II protector backpack which has two different versions the 22 liter and the 16 liters which will be the focus of our today’s analysis.

These protector backpacks are specifically designed for mountain bike rides, no matter the difficulty of the trails, no matter how difficult, you’ll be well prepared and protected for crossing the Alps. The multi-impact protector is integrated into the ergonomic body-contact suspension system (can also be extracted if needed just by opening a zip) and can be easily adjusted to your torso size using the hipbelt that can be adusted vertically by 6 cm.

With a volume of just 16 liters, the little brother of the Moab Pro 22 is perfectly suited for short off-road trips. The multi-impact protector of SAS-TEC SCA 500 is integrated into the ergonomic body-contact suspension system and can be easily adjusted to your torso size using the hipbelt that can be adusted vertically by 6 cm. The lightweight shoulder straps combined with the air-permeable hipbelt.

The large front compartment has numerous pockets for organizing your tools, a spare tube and a pump. Wallet and keys can be safely stored in an inner mesh pocket in the upper front compartment. Additional mesh pockets can be found at the side and on the right hip wing. A flexible helmet holder that can also be used to transport full face helmets and a removable rain cover are included. Both can be stowed in the bottom compartment. The compartment for a hydration bladder can hold 2 – 3 liters – enough to keep your thirst at bay all day long.

It is not heavy and the body adjustment is great for a product that really needs to be close to your back, so it can protects you in case you need it.
