THE NORTH FACE APEX FUTURELIGHT JACKET. RAINWEAR ESSENTIALS. Rainwear essentials. Our MOUNTAIN JACKETS section brings you two pieces that you can enjoy for the famous “rain showers” that accompany the month of April.
The North Face now relaunches the Apex FlexFUTURELIGHT and Dryzzle FUTURELIGHT jackets. It does this as part of the Rainwear Essentials collection. Both share fabric with breathable waterproof membrane and deperlante layer, with two different variants: Heavier and more expensive the Apex, to tuck us in more. Lighter and cheaper for dryzzle.
THE NORTH FACE APEX FUTURELIGHT JACKET. RAINWEAR ESSENTIALS.
These sustainable garments have been manufactured with the most breathable waterproof technology so far that allows adventurers not to have to stop exploring again. FUTURELIGHT fabric is designed with an ultra-thin nanomembrane that allows air to flow through it, while preventing water from passing inside, favoring better breathability without sacrificing protection. Let’s look at his details.
THE NORTH FACE FUTURELIGHT: A DIFFERENT FABRIC.
This fabric has been developed using the nano-fraying technique, which has endowed a waterproof membrane with air permeable properties for the first time. However, this three-layer shell does not look like a shell in any way. The fabric is soft, tactile and slightly stretchy to be comfortable throughout the day. In addition, it has a soft back, so that, unlike conventional shell jackets, you don’t feel it cold when you come into direct contact with your skin. Here the visual that the brand used to try to express its advantages in the global presentation of the fabric, which we covered in ISPO Munich a while ago.
THE NORTH FACE APEX FUTURELIGHT
It is a jacket with “body”, so also have waterproof-breathable membrane, also tucks something in the thermal while we are in the mountains. In this way, we can be more exposed thanks to this three-layer garment, with thermosellated seams, which help to regulate body temperature.
