TRANSGRANCANARIA 360 WILL RETURN IN NOVEMBER 2021.
Transgrancanaria 360° will return in November (17-21NOV) Our TRANSGRANCANARIA section does not stop. Just after the fifth edition, with victories by Marco Gunert and Claire Branwath, it has been confirmed today that the wildest modality will be separated on transgrancanaria dates and will be held between 17 and 21 November 2021.
TRANSGRANCANARIA 360 WILL RETURN IN NOVEMBER
The fifth edition of the 360° is already history and has been a turning point in the Transgrancanaria. With the support of WAA and Fred. Olsen Express, this challenge has crossed the borders of Gran Canaria and, with a start from Tenerife, has added an extra adventure point to this race. The victories of Marco Gubert and Claire Bannwarth have been the highlight for a challenge that has featured 52 finishers on Expomeloneras’ finish line.
The organization wants to give this event a unique prominence. Therefore, after five years of being held in parallel with the Transgrancanaria, this November will return with an exclusive date for the 360th. This project will be carried out in the autumn months, and will return with a challenge that is already being worked on by 17-21 November 2021.
The double challenge posed this year, with a stage by the Anaga massif in Tenerife and the transfer by boat back to Gran Canaria, is just a preview of what is coming in the next editions of this 360°. The momentum that this modality has taken has meant that the race can follow its own path from now on with different locations and surprises that remain to be discovered.
In the coming months more details will be released of this new Trans 360° that will give a lot to talk about.
TRANSGRANCANARIA 360: A DIFFERENT MOUNTAIN RACE.
The 360° format has captivated the most extreme mountain runners on five continents in recent years. A challenge designed for the more adventurous, in complete autonomy, whose route is revealed just a few days before the beginning and that goes beyond the parameters and trails that a traditional mountain race usually applies to. Navigation and the only help of GPS and mapping make the 360° a unique test in the world.
The participants, who plan up to 100 hours practically without sleep, in which they carry an exhaustive material and only stock up on the foundations of the organization’s life, star each year in the most epic pages of the Transgrancanaria, and will now be able to do so in an event built exclusively for them.
