CIMALP STORM PRO 3H: TRAIL RUNNING AND MOUNTAIN JACKET, 20K/80K.
CIMALP STORM PRO 3H: Trail running and mountain jacket, with 20k/80k membrane. Our TRAIL RUNNING GEAR section presents you today a very versatile one. It combines a classic fit, with the latest generation 20k/80k membrane. Its weight of 260 grams, seeks to thermally protec us and also maintains some “body”. Its original price is 220 euros, although there is a special offer of 170 € here.
A good combination for all runners. It is not featherweight jacket for the elite to dispute the UTMB in the rain, but it will be comfortable and warm, thanks to those extra fabric grams, a good hood, great fit, and finishes with the high quality membrane. Let’s go with the technical analysis by Mayayo.

CIMALP STORM PRO 3H:
260G./20.000 MM/ 80.000 G/M2/ 220 €
Who is CIMALP? CIMALP is a mountain French brand created in 1964 by a mountaineer who has distinguished himself by trying to develop technical and reliable products, but at affordable prices. Established at the foot of the Alps between Vercors and Monts d’Ardéche, CIMALP designs material for all mountain sports: skiing, hiking, mountaineering and mainly Mountain Running, that in a few years become the star of the company within the French market. They are technical products at a contained price and only available online.
This Cimalp Storm 3H is a mountain technical jacket with weight of 260 grams, on size M, with no more or less than 20,000 mm of Ultrashell® waterproof membrane and 80,000 g/m2/24h of breathability that will be an indispensable piece for any mountain activity.
It seeks to be a valid companion for almost any trip to the mountain, which gives us guarantees if one day we are involved under extreme conditions. Hence those holes for the fingers or the “alpine” hood that protects the whole face leaving only eyes and noses exposed.

CIMALP STORM PRO 3H: CONCLUSION.
Good piece in the catalog of the French for many popular mountain runners. A single jacket, with a reasonable price and a medium weight. But at the same time tucked in enough to not only use it in our mountain races, but also tuck in, protect and breathe with those 80k to give you out on hiking skiing, Nordic skiing, mountain biking and more.
A jacket that, if we know how to wash and clean it properlymenete from time to time, could last many years.. Protected from wind and snow as usual, with those 20,000mm Schmerber, but breathing more and better than ever with the 80,000mm. To get an idea of the level of the membrane, we remind you again that race as the Hundred Miles of Chamonix (Ultra Trail Mont Blanc) demand by regulation a 10k/10k garment.
Here we have a 20k/80k membrane, which means it is twice as waterproof and lets out sweat up to eight times more. It is not the best membrane in the world today, as we noted in the video….but it does come very close.
