Ehunmilak 2018: BASQUE HUNDRED MILES (July 13-15th). Ehunmilak celebrates its ninth edition by setting new records

.

A record edition, both sides of the bib: The ninth edition of the one hundred Basque miles, Ehunmilak, is another step forward in its international projection, as Beasain celebrates a new record of participation on both sides of the race bib. This 2018 quickly sold out all slots for the two most accessible races: the Marimurumendi marathon (42km/265 runners) and Goierriko bi Haundiak (88km/515 bibs); Only 42 bibs were left for the main event, the Ehunmilak Ultra-Trail 170km that requires huge experience and preparation, although it also has grown.

Ehunmilak, a trip to the heart of Goierri, the highlands of Euskadi: “Txalaparta”, “Aurresku”, “Txindoki”, “Aizkorri” … all of them words that the veterans of this event have engraved in their hearts by the end of their journey. From its birth cradle Ehunmilak strove to share in the best of basque nature and the local traditions, supported by the locals who heartily welcome and support every runner. Thus, visitors arriving from all over the cherish their of the homage dance Aurresku at the start in Beasain; the primal sound of the Stone xylophone Txalaparta guiding them out of the Deep forests up to the Txindoki at dawn; or the passage by the Larraitz human corridor among thousands of supporters in the Deep of the night.
