ULTRA TRAIL SNOWDONIA BY UTMB 2024 (10-12 MAY). PREVIEW. Our UTMB 2024 WORLD SERIES has its next stop in Ultra Trail Snowdonia By UTMB with participants from 63 nations in wild Wales.
Over 3,000 participants representing 63 countries will converge upon the rugged mountain terrain of northern Wales in the United Kingdom from May 10th to 12th to participate in the Ultra-Trail Snowdonia by UTMB®.

PREVIEW AND FAVORITES
In Eryri/Snowdonia National Park, the Ultra-Trail Snowdonia by UTMB® will live up to its reputation as an unforgettable adventure. With its tagline ‘Beautiful beyond belief. Savage beyond reason‘, the event promises participants an exhilarating journey through technical trails, rugged ridges, and enchanting forests.
Headlining the event are top-ranked athletes Corine Kagerer (SUI) and Mathieu Clement (SUI), who are set to lead the charge in the challenging UTS 100M race. However, they face stiff competition from a formidable lineup of British runners eager for home glory. Notable contenders include Dacia UTMB Mont-Blanc TDS® winner Christian Meier (CAN)in the Men’s race and fourth-place TDS finisher Paulina Krawczak (POL) in the Women’s race.
In the UTS 50K race, defending champion Josh Wade (GBR) will be aiming to secure another victory, while local favorite Harry Jones (GBR), previous 50K winner, seeks to reclaim the title. Meanwhile, the Women’s race could see an all-Nordic podium with twins Sanna El Kott Helander (SWE) and Lina El Kott Helander (SWE) leading the charge alongside Henriette Albon (NOR).
Robbie Simpson (GBR), fresh off a UTMB World Series win at Chianti Ultra Trail, will be the one to watch in the UTS 20K, while Gemma Hillier Moses (GBR) aims to continue the British success in the Women’s race.
Notably, Simbarashe (Simba) Mugomba, trustee of Black Trail Runners, returns to the start line after a memorable experience in the 2023 race. “The 50K race in 2023 was a formidable challenge and the course was spectacular. Last year my body gave out up Rhyd Ddu Path, and it became more about survival than beating the clock, but at the second checkpoint I waited for my wife who was just fifteen minutes behind, and we finished together which was incredibly special.”
“My aim is to inspire others by being visible in my Black Trail Runners (BTR) kit at major races, demonstrating that there is indeed a place for Black runners at every start line. Before joining BTR, I often found myself as the sole Black participant at trail races. The community has been pivotal in reshaping my experience in the UK trail running scene, offering a sense of belonging and support.”

UTS 100M
Starting on Friday, UTS 100M is the ultimate grand-tour of Eryri/Snowdonia. It really is: ‘Beautiful beyond belief. Savage beyond reason’.

UTS 100K
Starting on Saturday morning, UTS 100K covers the highlights of the mountainous areas of northern Eryri/Snowdonia, taking in countless stunning trails, technical ridges and epic views over its 103kms.
UTS 50K
UTS 50K acts as the perfect stepping stone into Alpine-scale mountain ultrarunning, taking in several technical mountain trails around the Snowdon massif.
ERYRI 25K
The ERYRI 25K is inspired by Eryri (pronounced Eh-ruh-ree)/Snowdonia itself: the ‘land of the eagles’, that once soared freely, high above the snow-capped peaks of this mythical land…
