WMTRC THAILAND 2022 LONG TRAIL: THE RACE
As you can see below, both the length and the layout require thinking well about the strategy in the race. With so much ascent/descent in the middle of the jungle, with only 25km of tracks and the rest trails through the jungle, measuring the forces will be vital.
Another added challenge is the extreme humidity and high temperature of this environment, which already today in the 8k of Uphill left some touched, they represent a huge added challenge when we talk about competing in the ultra. The support of each team in the race to each bib will be vital. Moreover, when the Marathon comes out after… and ends much earlier than the Ultra.

WMTRC THAILAND 2022 : PRIZES & POINTS
There will be almost 200 athletes in the race, with more men than women. As for the teams, the WA rules stipulate that in the team up to six athletes can be registered, however only the best four of each team will score points for their country.
In this case, the classic IAU criteria is valid and the final times of these 4 best runners gives the total per country. The team with less timing at the end will be the world champion.
Every team has support from World Athletics, which will pay each federation a fund of between $1,000 (for registering two athletes) to $5,000 if four full teams are registered. With five events for both genders, a federation can register up to 10 teams, making it generous support.
The cash prizes are also important, as they total 50,000 USD distributed equally among the four senior events as follows for the top 5 in of each sex and modality: 4.000 – 2.000 – 1.000 – 750 – 500
As usual in World Athletics, no cash prize will be paid until the results of the mandatory WADA controls at the finish line certify the winners.
