ADIDAS TERREX AGRAVIC PRO:
CUSHION PROTECTION AND BOA FIT
200€ | 280 G. | 4MM DROP
No trail is too technical or too rugged for the Terrex Agravic Pro trail running shoe from adidas. With these words, the promotion of these adidas begins, which, as is usual in the German house lately, begins first by launching the women’s version.
The protective reinforcement that completely surrounds the midsole allows you to move safely through rocky areas. Sealed reinforcements resist wear and abrasion caused by uneven ground. The Continental™ rubber compound outsole offers excellent grip on both dry and wet surfaces.

It is a shoe with a tight and flexible design, made with 50% Parley Ocean Plastic and 50% recycled polyester. This, according to the brand, very resistant to wear. Likewise, on the cover we see one of the star points of these Agravic Pro, the BOA closure that offers an unparalleled fit.
Adidas Lightstrike cushioning technology, whose concept redefines speed with a superlight midsole that provides dynamism and likewise, the protective reinforcement in the midsole against rocks and stones offers extra protection when we run through the mountains, as well as ensuring extra durability.
Sole with the typical Continental rubber compound that adidas has been using in the Terrex range. In any case, this rubber offers a reliable and well-proven grip on a variety of different surfaces.
The lugs are quite versatile, although perhaps more at home on firm ground.
ADIDAS TERREX AGRAVIC PRO: CONCLUSIONS
The adidas Terrex Agravic Pro arrives as an interesting trail running shoe, specifically for women (for now), for those looking for extra protection, with a contained weight of 280 grams, and an exceptional fit offered by the BOA closure.
According to the numbers, they can allow a certain agility and speed on the most technical terrain, having the whole foot “well wrapped” can give us confidence.
It brings together elements tested and proven by the German brand, together with innovative solutions, such as more durable materials and the BOA closure.
At the elite level, the fight for each gram is basic, so we do not see this shoes as the shoe at the head of the pack with those 280 grams and 320 in the future men’s version, but as a shoe for ultras, all terrain and long durability.
In exchange for those extra grams, when the terrain becomes complicated and technical and we need rubber underfoot that protects us and grips at the same time, these Agravic pro are there. The popular may find it a safe bet to finish a race and you reach the finish line protecting your legs.
There is no doubt that the joint work of Lightstrike and Continental rubber is solid, but unfortunately we cannot say that they are the best on the market yet.
Not even the midsole is the one that provides the best weight/cushion ratio (Hoka still rules there, we think). Neither does the Continental rubber reach rivals such as Sportiva, Inov 8 G-grip, Scarpa Presta or Salomon Contagrip.
