THE NORTH FACE VECTIV ENDURIS II: CUSHIONING AND PLATE FOR TRAIL RUNNING.  Our  TRAIL RUNNING SHOES  section presents the 2022 version of the Enduris shoe, top cushioning of The North Face VECTIV range.

The improvements that have been introduced in this new version of the Enduris seek to improve cushioning and breathability of the shoe, among other novelties. It comes with a price of 140€, 307 grams and a drop of 6 mm.

You can already find in stores the second version of the most cushioned shoe of the Vectiv range of The North Face. A range of shoes, relatively young, launched in 2021, which claims a personality of its own based on three pillars joined by the incorporation of carbon plates for the first time in mountain shoes.

The three pillars of the range are:

• Each features a 3D Vectiv plate made of carbon fiber that, according to the brand, is designed to improve propulsion and stability.
• This plate sits on a rocker-shaped midsole
• It is completed with a SurfaceCTRL grip sole that seeks to improve grip on difficult surfaces, to get closer to the level of its great rivals.

The North Face Enduris Vectiv shoes are the most protected in the new VECTIV range. In this second version of the shoe, small modifications are incorporated to increase the breathability of the upper and improve the cushioning of the midsole.

It is the shoe of the three of the Vectiv range intended for long distances and for those runners, of medium – high weight, who prioritize comfort and cushioning at fast paces.

Athletes looking for more lightness and speed have the only shoe in the range with carbon plate, The North Face Flight Vectiv, which we already tested months ago.

THE NORTH FACE VECTIV ENDURIS II: HIGHLIGHTS

UPPER

The new version presents slight changes in the design of the upper part of the shoe in addition to incorporating a more breathable mesh fabric that we will appreciate at the hottest times of the year, without losing the comfort and precise fit of the first version.

The tongue follows the same pattern of the previous edition, providing comfort thanks to its padding.

The protections of the outer part of the upper mesh are reinforced with TPU coatings in the areas of the toe and heel to provide that protection and security necessary in our training in the mountain.

MIDSOLE

The Enduris II continues to incorporate the 3D plate in double density TPU positioned under the foot, offering and even improving the stability of athletes favoring forward reactivity with the same rocker design of the first edition.

The configuration of the midsole, with double density, gives us reactivity and improves lightness without losing that necessary cushioning and that both seeks the profile of runner and runner who uses this shoe of the Vectiv range.

SOLE

As far as the sole is concerned, it does not incorporate modifications in this second version. The SurfaceCTRL™ rubber that has worked so well in the first version is still used.
The grip and versatility of the sole are the two most outstanding features.

It has 3.5 mm lugs for a firm grip against all types of terrain, yes, always prioritizing rather compact and not very technical terrains where the sole responds perfectly, before more technical terrain we will have more difficulties.
