ROSSIGNOL TRAILRUNNING: THE SKI, MOUNTAIN AND TRAIL BRAND GROWS 28%
ROSSIGNOL TRAILRUNNING: THE SKI, MOUNTAIN AND TRAIL BRAND GROWS 28%. Our MATERIAL TRAIL RUNNING section celebrates that the veteran French house has managed to grow by 28%.
Expanding ranges of running, mountain biking and mountain racing on the one hand, as well as more sustainable skiing are the two key priorities for the future. Let’s go with the details.
ROSSIGNOL TRAILRUNNING:
THE SKI, MOUNTAIN AND TRAIL BRAND GROWS 28%
After a dismal winter season 2020-21, the Rossignol Group is registering a strong rebound for the winter of 2022 with a 28% growth in activity across its entire brand portfolio.
The French group, which is currently celebrating its 115th anniversary and solid results in the recently concluded Olympic competition, aims to build on this momentum to climb back to the top of the outdoor interest wave after the pandemic.
Located in the heart of the Chamonix Valley, at the foot of Mont Blanc, the Group’s industrial ski site in Sallanches is a solid foundation to play an important role in this approach.
The Group aims to make its factory in Sallanches the world’s first recyclable ski factory and a major repair centre with the aim of extending the life of its products. Skiing, mountain and running were joined as the last member of the mountain bike family last year.
ROSSIGNOL TRAIL RUNNING:
BET AFTER SEPARATING FROM RAIDLIGHT.
After buying Raidlight in 2016 and separating from it again in 2020, now for this 2021 the historic French brand, launched its own range of material for mountain races.
Nothing more logical, since the R & D center of the Rossignol group in Tresviso (Italy) had led the latest development of the brand in those years, such as the new ranges of shoes that we present here in the last triennium: Four new Raidlight shoes.
Once the separation was completed in 2020, the Rossignol group remained as the owner of the network of TRAIL STATIONS that already include several in our country.
In addition, the ski brand Rossignol launched in 2021 a line of products and clothing for the summer for the practice of sports such as trail running, hiking or trekking. Rossignol Trail Running: Premiere 2021.
ROSSIGNOL SKI AND MUCH MORE
With a solid rebound in 2022, Rossignol anticipates a 2022-23 season with great potential.
Following the all-time 2020-21 winter season in which chairlifts closed in France and most of Europe, the Rossignol Group took full advantage of the strong market recovery and sustained consumer demand for outdoor products in 2022.
The Group is experiencing growth in all markets and in distribution. (+24% in North America, record year, +30% in Europe and +15% in Asia) with strong growth in winter sports equipment (+29%).
Despite an uncertain geopolitical context and inflation-related pressures, the 2022-2023 season promises to be very strong, continuing the rebound of the winter of 2022.
ROSSIGNOL: BEIJING SPORTS SUCCESS.
ROSSIGNOL FOUR SEASONS.
Driven by this positive outlook, the Rossignol Group plans to accelerate the transformation of its business model to incorporate momentous changes across the winter and outdoor sports market.
The Group’s approach now spans all four seasons, supporting active outdoor and mountain lifestyle enthusiasts 365 days a year.
Focusing on its mountain sports and lifestyle brands, the Group is diversifying its offering to deliver multi-seasonal, multi-activity experiences to end consumers around the world.
SKI AND MOUNTAIN CLOTHES ROSSIGNOL
Known in many European countries above all for its skis and associated products, the Rossignol brand has also experienced strong growth in clothing and footwear 2021-22. In fact, it led the group’s growth with more than 40% increase.
This part of the business has grown so much that the clothing and footwear categories already represent 22% of the brand’s global annual turnover. And the 40% in France that as a market of origin is perhaps the one who best anticipates the future of the house beyond the Pyrenees.
ROSSIGNOL JUMPS INTO MOUNTAIN BIKING.
Accelerating the brand’s four-season diversification is the recent launch of the Rossignol mountain bike collection earlier this month and the summer launch of its outdoor Escaper version.
