This La Sportiva Aequilibrium range comes  with 3 different boots, depending on the technical requirements of the alpinist, and today we present you the top range with these Aequilibrium Top GTX. Developed with the Vibram dubbed Spring Lug Tech comes with an official price of 440 € a weight of 650 grams and BOA Fit System.

Performance and the demands for modern alpinists and mountaineers is a perpetual challenge. The state-of-the-art Aequilibrium Top GTX orchestrates a perfect blend of ultralight construction, durable materials, superlative comfort, and elite performance for moving fast in the mountains.

VIBRAM SPRINGLUG TECH: WHAT IS IT?

Vibram, a leading brand in the production of mountain soles, today presents Vibram® SpringLug Tech, the latest technology dedicated to different types of use, both outdoor and urban.

The first house to bet on the new technology of Vibram is the Italian brand La Sportiva, within the collection of light and fast mountaineering footwear “Aequilibrium”.

Comfort, adaptability to the ground and cushioning are essential elements when facing demanding Outdoor activities. Vibram, claims here that after studies, analysis and tests carried out by the R & D + i department, it has tried to combine in a single product all the key characteristics to meet the needs of its consumers.

The new Vibram Springlug Tech technology is composed of a rubber housing that allows maximum protection and great resistance to abrasion and wear, as well as providing grip and traction.

UPPER & LINING

Aequilibrium Top GTX is the lightweight, high-tech high-performance boot for fast mountaineering on mixed terrain and for use at medium altitude. State of the art technology, it is the perfect synthesis between lightweight, comfort and durability.

The external water-repellent elastic Cordura® gaiter allows maximum water repellency while the internal Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane allows sweat to escape but keeps water out.

Exceptional walkability thanks to the innovative construction of the Double Heel™: the very pronounced double rear block geometry increases the braking effect on the descent and allows a smoother rolling, reducing muscle fatigue. Durability and lightweight coexist in harmony thanks to the new outsole / midsole package with external Rubber Guard™ shell construction and internal foam material for accentuated cushioning and lightweight derived from less use of rubber layers.

The shape is Ergonomic: enveloping and precise with TPU shells integrated in the toe and heel to reinforce the uppers. The 3D Flex System Evo™ directional joint with shaped malleolus and external fold lines allows better control of the support and perfect mobility of the ankle.

The lacing integrates the precise and fast BOA™ Fit System.

MIDSOLE

The midsole is semi-cramponable for use with crampons in case of ice or snow. Mountaineering in perfect harmony.

The Aequilibrium Top GTX comes as a boot for every technical terrain and medium altitude with temperatures up to -10°C. This Top GTX walks really easy, based on the Double Heel™ which together with the rockered profile make it a perfect boot for even 4000 peaks in the summer seasson where the temperatures are not very cold.

Moreover,  it can also be a winter boot for mid altitude peaks in winter, always keeping in mind the isolation needed related to the temperatures.
