IRONMAN PRO WOMEN’S EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2021: 14TH AUGUST AT TAHKO, FINLAND. The event marks the first time for Finland to host a Championship race before the upcoming 2023 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Lahti.

IRONMAN Europe, Middle East & Africa today announced that the professional women’s IRONMAN® European Championship race will be held at IRONMAN Finland Kuopio-Tahko on August 14, 2021.
Tahko is a lively holiday resort in the heart of the Finnish Lakeland area known for its pure nature, colorful events, joyful activities, high-quality accommodation, great food and friendly hospitality. The changing seasons from snowy winters to colorful autumns make it a memorable destination for any outdoor enthusiast. Now, it is also home to the world’s northern-most IRONMAN race featuring a crystal-clear lake swim and rolling bike and run through Finland’s gorgeous countryside.
The professional men’s and all age-group European Championship titles will continue to be awarded at the Mainova IRONMAN European Championship in Frankfurt, Germany on August 15, 2021.
Both events will be streamed live to a global audience on IRONMAN NOW® on Facebook Watch. In addition, the IRONMAN European Championship race in Frankfurt will also be broadcasted live on hr TV in Germany.
Following the success of the 2019 Women for Tri race for Europe, Middle East and Africa at IRONMAN Copenhagen, which was won by current World Champion Anne Haug, professional women will this year share the full stage in Finland with the continent’s biggest title on the line.
It is also the first time Finland hosts a regional IRONMAN Championship event prior to the 2023 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. The two-day event will be held in the city of Lahti from August 26-27, 2023.
