The international circuit premieres calendar with 10 stops with presence on 4 continents The Classic and Marathon modalities, to be held between February 26 and 28, will be part of the world championship.

SPARTAN TRAIL 2021
The Spartan Trail 2021 will take place on four continents. It has been sought to create a circuit of interest for both elites and popular runners. The Spartan brand made the big leap into the world of trail running in a difficult year, 2020. Having cancelled its inaugural season as a result of the world pandemic, the Spartan Trail returns to the track with some of the most prestigious races in the world.

TRANSGRANCANARIA HG 2021: 24-28 FEBRUARY
The Transgrancanaria HG will be one of 10 events that will be part of the Spartan Trail World Championship. After the 2020 edition was suspended for the consequences of the pandemic, the circuit debuts a new calendar for this new year with 10 events around the world that will give points to the participants for the final classification.
The championship will be divided into two categories: “Trail Run Championship” and Trail Ultra Championship. The first will be integrated by races of up to 49 kilometers, in which the Transgrancanaria Marathon will participate, while the second will be formed by tests of more than 50 kilometers, in which the Classic departing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will be the one that opens the calendar.

SPARTAN TRAIL 2021, CALENDAR: CROWN, BLUE, GREEN.
The World Championship has 10 stops around the world, across four continents, which give points for a final leaderboard, split into two categories: “Trail Run Championship” (up to 49k distances) and “Trail Ultra Championship” (50k or more distances). Elite runners will battle at each stop for an unprecedented prize purse, and collect points towards the series leaderboard prize purse. Age Group runners will battle for important prizes at each stop and for a final bundle at the end of the Championship. Each stop is categorized by three different labels, which separate from each other by the amount of points and prize money they give,based on events hierarchy and antiquity:

The renewed championship will have new events and a new format divided into two categories on one side and three levels on the other.
Two categories, Trail Run and Trail Ultra: The circuit has 10 appointments throughout the world, on four continents, which will award points for the final ranking and will be divided into two categories:
“Trail Run Championship” (races up to 49k) and “Trail Ultra Championship” (Races of 50k or more).
Three modes: Crown, Blue and Green. The stops will carry three different labels, which differ from each other by the amount of cash points and prizes they award, based on hierarchy and age
events.
THE 10 EVENTS:
The 2021 Spartan Trail World Championship calendar includes some of the best trail running festivals in the world, as well as young races that will be boosted by the Spartan brand and with the help of their World Championship companions. From a Hispanic point of view, four careers stand out: The Spanish Transgrancanaria and Ultra Pirineu, which are placed at the top, CROWN modality. As well as Argentina’s Patagonia Run (Crown) and Aconcagua Ultra Trail (Green).
