UD HALO VEST: A NEW DEVELOPMENT FOR THE BRAND.
The new UD HALO VEST has been designed to offer the best volume-to-weight ratio of any vest or backpack for mountain racing. The brand has been able to reduce the weight of the vest and finally manages to get closer to the usual ratios in Salomon for years. In this way, they combine a substantial storage capacity with up to 11 liters, but it is maintained at a weight of only 175 grams (without bottles).
The elastic fabric is thin but sturdy. An ultralight and breathable material has been sought, which secures the contents to prevent the movement of the load and eliminate chafing and irritation. The new adjustment system, dubbed Comfort Cinch 2.0 allows a minimalist design with lightweight fabrics while customizing the fit quickly and easily without having to stop moving forward, pulling the rear and side tensioners to do so.
Two 500ml soft bottles included in the front provide one liter as basic hydration. In addition, it offers additional capacity for hydration bag up to 2L (not included). And of course, it has multiple pockets, central, side and rear where you can place phone, garbage, trekking poles, waterproofs and other mandatory gear.
Notably, redesigned elastic trekking pole holder keep the poles folded tightly in place to minimize bounce and get out of the way when not in use.
UD HALO VEST: JASON SCHLARB.
UD Ambassador Jason Schlarb, known in our country for his gold exaequo with Kilian Jornet at Hard Rock 2016, has been involved in the development of the model. Jason has competed with the Halo prototype worldwide, testing the material in places like Oman, Mexico and Steamboat Springs.
