It blends swisswool lining on the front (60m²) which is light yet but keeps the user warm in cold weather conditions or during windy descents. The Swiss wool is protected by highly breathable micro ripstop poymadie fabric from Toray. The fleece light material in the arm and back area ensures the necessary freedom of movement for the ambitious light sheep. Ortovox has drawn upon its experience on how cold and uncomfortable the winter months in the harsh high mountains can be, to wrap the warming swisswool in waterproof, protective material. The 60g/m² swisswool lining keeps you warm inside, while the highperformance Dermizax DT keeps out wind and water with minimum weight. The three-layered Dermizax NX membrane inserts aim at ensuring stability and robustness. The final target of the jacket being to make us feel right at home on icy summits, exhausting alpine tours and long ski tours.

ORTOVOX AVALANCHE SHOVELS: All of the products in the catalogue are shaped by the Taufkirchenbased company’s alpine origin. Products therefore undergo constant checks, improvements and optimization, and the new 17/18 winter shovels reflect it. Ortovox has given the complete range a uniform color scheme and has substantially revamped the Kodiak: Worth highlighting is the more compact pack size of the handle without compromising working length, as well as the flatter blade design that is now ideally suited for carving snow profiles. The new ski tour backpack has been scaled down to the most important features and therefore made for those who love long, demanding days in the mountains. The 850 gram ASCENT 32 has a rope attachment, an ice axe holder, and side and diagonal ski attachments. The circumferential front zipper provides quick access to equipment. In the upper compartment there is space for your cell phone, keys and small items.
