REGISTRATIONS OPENS

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria 2025 has officially opened its registration for the highly anticipated tenth edition, set to take place from November 5 to 9. For the fourth consecutive year, the town of Tejeda will serve as both the starting and finishing point for this grueling self-sufficiency race. One of the toughest ultra-distance challenges in the world, the course extends beyond 250 kilometers over an unmarked route, pushing participants to their limits.

Once again, the organization offers special discounts for Canarian residents and finishers from previous editions, along with an option for installment payments. Runners eager to take on this extreme endurance test can register now via the official race website: www.360thechallenge.com.

Transgrancanaria 360 will host some of the world’s best ultra-distance runners, who will navigate through multiple municipalities of the island without marked trails. The route will remain undisclosed until 10 days before the race, requiring competitors to master navigation using maps and GPS devices. In addition to outstanding physical fitness, participants must demonstrate expertise in sleep and nutrition management and resilience against unpredictable weather conditions.

The Transgrancanaria 2024 edition of the race covered a staggering 258 kilometers with a total positive elevation gain of 12,669 meters. Despite the extreme difficulty, 71% of participants successfully completed the challenge, with only 28 withdrawals. Organizers will reveal the locations of the race’s life bases in the coming months—these crucial checkpoints allow runners to rest, refuel, and recharge their equipment, significantly impacting their race strategies.

Elite Runners Return to the Challenge

The Transgrancanaria 360 has attracted some of the most accomplished ultra-runners worldwide. Notable past participants include Claire Bannwarth (France). Five-time champion, undefeated in all her appearances. Luca Papi (Italy), the only runner to have completed all nine editions, with four victories to his name. Annemarie Gross (Italy), winner in 2017 and 2018. Marta Poretti (Italy): 2020 champion. Marco Gubert (Italy), three-time winner and 2024 champion. Claudiu Beletoiu (Romania), 2023 winner.

Among the notable local athletes, Sandra Moreno (Gran Canaria) finished second in 2024 and third in 2022, while José Bordón (Gran Canaria) was the runner-up in 2023, and Álvaro Santana secured third place in the latest edition.

Limited registrations and Special Discounts

This year, the race will have only 100 available registrations, with exclusive discounts for Canarian residents and returning finishers. Those who have completed past editions will receive a loyalty discount of €30 per completed race, up to a maximum of four editions.

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria is organized by Arista Eventos, with the sponsorship of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through Turismo de Gran Canaria and the Instituto Insular de Deportes; the Government of the Canary Islands with Promotur – Islas Canarias; Ayuntamiento de Tejeda and Fred. Olsen Express; and the collaboration of the companies Joma, Lorenzo González Automoción, Gofio La Piña, Emicela, Pepsi, Provital and Inetel.
