WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE

For the first time in its history, the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria will feature a live streaming broadcast during its ninth edition. Kicks off today, November 13, in Tejeda. Arista Eventos, the event’s organizer, has announced a special program of four hours to be streamed on Friday, November 15, showcasing the final kilometers of the race’s leaders. Viewers can tune in via the Arista Eventos (https://youtube.com/AristaTV) or The North Face Transgrancanaria YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@transgrancanaria102).

Hosted by Carlos Torrent, director of The North Face Transgrancanaria. The broadcast will feature a team of 20 professionals, including camera operators, drone pilots, runners and technical crew, among others. Coverage will include live action from the life bases in Teror and Artenara, offering a glimpse of participants navigating the demanding route.

A World-Class Lineup for a Brutal Challenge

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria is one of the toughest ultra-distance events in the trail-running calendar. Drawing elite athletes from across the globe. This year’s lineup includes reigning champions Claudiu Beletoiu (Romania) and Claire Bannwarth (France), as well as trail legends such as Luca Papi (Italy) – eight-time finisher and winner in 2022, Julien Chorier (France), the Italian Marco Gubert, and a host of Spanish talent like Javier Blanco, Sandra Moreno, and José Bordón. A total of 100 participants are in this monumental race.

A Grueling Route with Strategic Basecamps

Spanning 258 kilometers with 12,669 meters of positive elevation. The course features five life bases in Mogán, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Teror, and Artenara. These strategic points allow participants to rest, refuel, and recharge, highlighting the importance of planning nutrition and recovery in a race of this magnitude.

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria is a test organized by Arista Eventos, with the sponsorship of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria through Turismo de Gran Canaria and the Insular Sports Institute; the Government of the Canary Islands with Promotur – Canary Islands; Tejeda and Fred City Council. Olsen Express; and the collaboration of the companies Lorenzo González Automoción, Gofio La Piña, Inerza, Emicela and Provital.
