The TOR330 – Tor des Géants® continues to thrill as an intense all-French battle unfolds at the front. Beñat Marmissolle appeared to have control of the race, building a 15-minute lead. However, disaster struck near Rifugio della Barma when Marmissolle collapsed due to exhaustion and stomach issues. This allowed Martin Perrier, strong during the climb through the Gressoney Valley, to take the lead. Having recovered almost an hour on François D’Haene after leaving the Donnas Life Base. François D’Haene, followed closely at 19minutes, but was showing signs of fatigue after surpassing his “usual” distance of 100 miles. Meanwhile, Louis Calais trailed by 10 minutes with remarkable consistency. Marmissolle, now 40 minutes behind, entered Rifugio della Barma at 5:21 PM, with the race still wide open.

In the women’s field, Katharina Hartmuth continues to shine, arriving at Rifugio Coda in an impressive ninth place overall, and about two and a half hours ahead of Sabrina Verjee’s 2022 record pace. Verjee herself is in second place, over an hour and a half behind the Swiss runner, accompanied by Lisa Borzani, in 12th and 13th places overall, respectively, with Borzani having regained half an hour at the Donnas Life Base
