During this initial 48-hour period, Canary Islands residents can register for the Classic modality at a special price of 120 euros, the Advanced at 95 euros, the Marathon at 55 euros, the Half at 30 euros, and the Promo, Vertical Kilometer, and Family races at just 20 euros each. Unveiling New Routes and Exciting Changes
The North Face Transgrancanaria has officially announced the routes for its 2025 edition. The 26th edition of this iconic event will be held from February 19 to 23, 2025, featuring six different race modalities designed to cater to various skill levels.
The event kicks off on Wednesday, February 19, with El Kilómetro Vertical El Gigante. The Promo and Half races will follow on Thursday. The Marathon and Classic races, the highlights of the event, will commence on Friday, February 21, with the Marathon starting at 9:30 a.m. and the Classic beginning at midnight from Las Canteras beach. The Advanced race, the second-longest race of the event, will start early on Saturday morning. Additionally, the Family and Kids races will ensure that there’s something for every member of the family.
the biggest change
A notable alteration in the 2025 route concerns Roque Nublo. This year, participants will experience this landmark from a new perspective. After extensive discussions with the Environment Department of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the decision was made to modify the route to avoid ascending to the base of Roque Nublo. This change aims to raise awareness about the fragility of the unique environment and encourage its preservation. Instead, runners will be treated to panoramic views of Gran Canaria’s most iconic rock formations, including the ascent to the surroundings of El Pico del Pozo de Las Nieves, the highest peak on the island. This alteration will offer a magnificent 360º view of Gran Canaria, showcasing Roque Nublo, Roque Bentayga, and the Teide volcano on neighboring Tenerife.

In Gran Canaria we often say that our island is a miniature continent. And there is no better way to prove it than the Transgrancanaria Advanced. The beautiful town of Teror, the Parque Rural of Nublo, the Caldera of Tejeda and the iconic towns of Artenara and Tejeda are the highlights in the first half of the race.
The second part takes place along the southern side of the Island. We leave the green fields behind to enter a drier area, which will make us discover the meaning of that “miniature continent”.
