OPENS REGISTRATION ON MARCH 20TH

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria, the most demanding self-sufficiency mountain challenge on the islands, returns with its ninth edition. Registration for this event, which will take place from November 13 to 17 of this year, will be available from March 20 on the website www.360thechallenge.com.

Tejeda will once again be the epicenter of the Transgrancanaria 360, which will be held from November 13 to 17, 2024. With only 100 places available, the organization is looking for participants with experience in mountain races, demonstrating orientation skills, the ability to face changing conditions, assistance to other runners, as well as resistance to lack of sleep and fatigue.

A route of more than 250 kilometers with a positive elevation gain of over 12,000 meters, which will test the physical and mental resistance of the participants. The exact route will not be revealed until ten days before the race, adding an element of surprise and adventure. The participants will have to navigate an unpredictable environment on the island, where they will encounter sudden changes in temperature. They also have to have navigation skills since the route is not marked. And although the first runners usually complete the race in a period of between 50 and 60 hours, the last ones exhaust themselves until the last moments of the finish line, which is 101 hours after the start of the race.

In the most recent edition, which took place between November 16th and 19th of the previous year, Claudiu Beletoiu from Romania claimed victory, with French competitor Claire Bannwarth securing the win in the women’s category.
