As the clock ticks closer to Sunday, April 7th, anticipation is building among tens of thousands of runners worldwide as they await the 2024 Marathon de Paris. With 31% of participants hailing from abroad, this iconic event promises to be a celebration of athleticism and determination.
For many, the marathon represents a significant milestone, with 46% of entrants preparing to tackle the legendary 42.195 km distance for the first time. Yet, whether a seasoned veteran or a novice, the allure of traversing the stunning streets of Paris, adorned with its renowned monuments, is undeniable.
This year, the atmosphere is electrified with the Olympic spirit. To ensure athrilling experience for all, the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris has put together a wide range of tools to optimise their preparation and stack their odds in their favour, whether they are chasing their first finisher’s medal, a certain target time or even a personal best.
Customised training plans
“When should I start training? How often should I go out for a run? How much should I run? At what pace? When should I take a rest? How many sets and reps should I do on the track?”. The minds of runners are often buzzing with questions after formalising their registration. Customised training plans that address all these issues and more are available, providing all runners with support that will smooth their path to the big marathoner family and their goals.

Who better than a champion to guide runners to their objectives? The top-flight marathon runner Yohan Durand (2:09:21 in the 2021 Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris) shares tips tailored to various levels and goals with the entire field. A 360-DEGREE EXPERIENCE
The Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is no one-hit wonder. A wide range of initiatives for runners of all ages and from all walks of life amplify the impact of the event.
March — Génération Marateens
This is an idea to try to bring the benefits of sport to schoolchildren in Paris. Every Wednesday in March, a month before the marathon, almost 1,200 children between 7 and 12 years old learn to run and can also participate in workshops and meet athletes.
It will be a series of sports and educational workshops to raise awareness among children about healthy eating and teach them about fair play. The Marateens will meet at the Jules Ladoumègue sports center on March 27.
From Friday, April 4 to Saturday, April 6 — Run Experience: three days to share and exchange ideas
Held at the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles (Hall 1), Run Experience is a must-see event for everyone who is passionate about running, from passionate runners to marathoners. More than 150 exhibitors will be present.
Visitors will be able to discover the latest products and services in all genres of running (road, trail running, etc.) and try them out in the Running Arena (a 200-meter track), in addition to immersing themselves in the world of their passion. with conferences and meet and greets
Saturday, 6 April — Paris Run For All: 4 km to support the ANAÉ charity
Open to everyone, held on a 4 km course through the heart of Paris, the second edition of Paris Run For All is a popular celebration in which able and disabled runners come together to share a sporting experience. 100% of entry fees (bibs starting from €9) will be donated to the charity ANAÉ, which opens the doors to sport for disabled people with tailored equipment and holidays for them and their families.
Saturday 6 April — Marathoon’s: discovering the joy of running from an early age
On Wednesday, 27 March, children 5 to 10 can also soak up the atmosphere of the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris on courses ranging from 400 to 1,200 metres according to their ages. Each child will receive a medal and a snack after the race. Non-competitive, non-timed race. No medical certificate required. Free entry.
