SALOMON RUNNING 2022 ADOPTS ASSISTED PLATE IN THEIR ROAD RUNNING SHOES. Our RUNNING section bring us today the first glimpse of the Salomon Road Running collection for 2022.

The French brand adopts carbon plates new technology called Energy Blade in their competition road shoes with the brand new S/Lab Phantasm CF, and also continuing to evolve its performance training range with the highly successful Sonic range, and adding a new racing flat (the S/Lab Phantasm), Salomon will expand its range even further in Spring 2022 with significant upgrades in the speed and comfort categories. SIX NEW SHOES FOR ROAD RUNNING

The theme for Salomon’s Spring/Summer 2022 road running footwear range is Speed…for everyone. The new offerings in the range are built on the belief that feeling fast is not only for elite runners chasing records, but for the everyday runners and weekend warriors as well.

In keeping with Salomon’s heritage of delivering innovation through biomechanical expertise, the new road running shoes for 2022 will bring speed through a new technology called Energy Blade, which takes an original and consumer-centric approach to carbon plated footwear development. That approach was to create an insert technology that is fine-tuned to the needs of different types of runners, which meant adjusting the insert material in each shoe model as well as the precise location of the insert within the shoe to suit the needs of certain categories of runners.

In all, the Salomon road running range for Spring/Summer 2022 features Speed shoes in the form of the S/Lab Phantasm CF, Phantasm and Spectur; a new Distance shoe in the Glide Max; and Training shoes with the Sonic 5 Balance, Sonic 5 Confidence, Predict 2, Predict Soc 2 and Predict Mod.

SALOMON S/LAB PHANTASM CF

Designed with Salomon’s Energy Blade technology, a rocker sole geometry and a super soft foam compound, the S/Lab Phantasm CF is the fastest road running shoe Salomon has ever created. The shoe features a composite fiber plate that is made using a unique embroidery manufacturing process, which allows it to vary in stiffness in specific areas under the foot to promote faster forward propulsion from landing to toe-off, and to help to save waste. Salomon’s signature rocker geometry, called R. Camber, ensures a quick transition so you spend less time on the ground, and more time moving forward.

Energy Surg, a lightweight, springy and super-soft foam compound—powers your stride and works with the R.Camber sole geometry to deliver fast, smooth transitions from one stride to the next.

The upper of the S/Lab Phantasm CF is made from Matryx material—an ultra-premium, highly durable, mesh-like material that makes it lightweight and super breathable. The result is an elite road running shoe built to deliver flat-out speed and a dynamic ride.

The Phantasm running shoe offers a light, snappy, super smooth ride for mid-foot forefoot strikers who want to go fast.
