The heat of the day and the humidity of the area could take their toll in the final third of the race to the peloton.
The first step through the control of Taull arrives leading the male a group of four riders. They are Omi, Ueda, Mathys and Antonioli who pass in 27min, just 1min after the first Spaniard arrives, Zaid Ait Malek with Merillas.

Among the girls, Blandine L ́Hirondel led the way out to the first step, but just 30 seconds behind has our Oihana Kortazar and Patricia Pineda. As the race progresses, Blandine continues to advance extending distnacia to 3m15s to pass through the Spa, Oihana and Patricia are still there, with just seconds between them. American Emily Schmitz chases them at 4min.
Later, at the end of the 2h30 of carrrra, we see that Blandine is still in front, but the Czech Marcela Vasinova now rises to second place. Oihana and Patricia are still after her, almost together.

The men’s race has at that time still leader Ruy Ueda, pursued by Manuel Merillas. His standout victory in Friday’s vertical suggested he would also pull for everything here, just as he is doing. It passes in the lead after the first 2h0643s but apemas to 12s arrives Manuel Merillas. The next big climb will dictate judgment…

After 2h45m of race, Manuel launches to climb with the canes and manages to pick up in the climb towards the Port de la Gelada to the Japanese. He goes with enormous force on the ramps towards the final stretch of the race.

Spectacular ascent of Manuel, which leaves him with a gap of 7min on Mathys at the top and 10min on Ueda.

He is now thrown into an open grave to the goal of Barruera, for the victory. .
