The Cavalls del Vent is a beatiful mountain hike that links the 8 refuges of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Parc at the Pyrenees in Barcelona province. Its iconic summit is Pedraforca, a true bigwall climbing paradise as well. For several years now, the Ultra Cavalls del Vent (grown to 100k/D+6.660m) this year has been a great celebration of these mountains.

This 2013 our team went to cover the race inside & out: Some running the ultra trail, some trailing it with our cameras. Here we bring you full race results, plus our personal photogallery, together with the newly launched 2013 edition official video.

CAVALLS DEL VENT 2013: Personal Race report.

Our staff member, Mayayo, was one of the 1050 entries for this race. After finishing Ultra Trail Mont Blanc three weeks before, he took on this voyage to the heart of the Cadí-Moixeró mountains only to finish it just as tired as he was happy. He toed the line in 18h14m and was ranked as 226th among the finishers. You may read here (in spanish) his personal race chronicle, from inside the “pelotón” 🙂
